Amersfoort, The Netherlands, July 28, 2026.
SAF Planet is pleased to announce that Neville Fernandes has joined its Advisory Board, effective 1 August 2026. Neville will share his knowledge and expertise to help shape the Company's strategic planning, execution, operations, growth, and governance.
Neville brings a 25-year tenure in the biofuel, refining, and chemical industries, with roles at Neste, Renewable Energy Group (REG), Chevron, and Alder Renewables. At Neste, he pioneered the commercial launch of the renewable diesel industry in the USA and Canada, and successfully grew and managed leading renewable diesel and renewable jet fuel (SAF) businesses. At REG, acquired by Chevron in 2022, Neville led corporate affairs, development, communications, and ESG, managing policy, advocacy, and stakeholder engagement for its biofuel businesses. In 2025, Neville joined Alder Renewables as President and Chief Operating Officer. Neville is a recognised leader in the renewable fuels industry - he is a co-founder and past Chairman of the Advanced Biofuels Association, and has served on the Governing Board of the Clean Fuels Alliance America for multiple years. He also represented Chevron on the Board of Directors of CoverCress, Inc.
SAF Planet helps corporate buyers navigate the Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) credit market. As a SAF credit reseller, the Company sources and structures book-and-claim SAF credits on behalf of businesses that want to reduce their business travel or logistics emissions, guiding buyers to the right volume, the right registry standard, and the best available price. With SAF credit prices and quality varying widely across producers, registries, and vintages, independent guidance has become essential for corporates to make defensible procurement decisions and to avoid overpaying in an opaque market. SAF Planet acts as the corporate buyer's advocate in this market, matching demand to supply across the leading standards and issuance platforms.
Alongside its reseller activity, SAF Planet operates a market intelligence and advisory branch, publishing quarterly reports on SAF credit trading, and advising producers, and traders on market development. Together, these two branches give SAF Planet a uniquely complete view of both the supply and demand sides of the SAF credit market.
